Join winemaker Jarrod Johnson and famed Danish live-fire chef Bente Grysbaek for a live-fire meal and barrel hall lunch. The Punt Road Garden will be transformed with an open fire pit for cooking Bente’s mouth-watering menu. After feasting their eyes, guests will be seated for an intimate long-table Winemakers Lunch with Jarrod in the Punt Road barrel hall. They will enjoy tasting limited-release wines from the estate and even sample directly from barrels.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by the sight of Bente preparing their meal over embers, as they enjoy welcome drinks under our Garden Marquee. The Punt Road barrel hall will be converted into a cosy space where Jarrod will host lunch and present the very best Punt Road has to offer, along with exclusive previews of wines from barrel to accompany Bente’s spectacular menu.
The menu includes plank-roasted fish with a beetroot-caraway rub, crispy fire-roasted porchetta with toasted fennel seeds, roast pear and honey-mustard sauce, and generous sides. After lunch, guests will rejoin the firepit circle for cheese and mulled cider to relax for the rest of the afternoon.
Bente and her team are renowned for their stunning fire-pit set-ups and the Punt Road crew can’t wait to see how they transform the garden space into a theatrical outdoor kitchen. This event will be more than just a meal; it'll be an experience you won’t want to miss.
